Asha Hooda was born on 3rd September 1956. She is the wife of former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. They were married in the year 1976 and have a son named Deepender Singh Hooda, who is also a politician, a Rajya Sabha Member from Haryana. Her father-in-law Ranbir Singh Hooda was also a politician. She came from a village near Sonepat. She is a member of State Executive Committee BJP Haryana. She have completed her B.Ed, then did her UG degree in Bachelor of Arts in English (Hons) and the PG Degree in Master of Arts in Political Science. She usually lives in Delhi but spends most of her time in Rohtak home during the time of elections.

She is also helping out with the campaigning of Mahila Morcha, moving around talking to women voters and even young students and making them aware about the polls and their voting rights that they should vote and it is their basic right. Asha Hooda is also Vice President of the Council for Child Welfare, Haryana. She had made many people aware of women’s rights. She sought the cooperation of the people, especially Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), to check crime against women. She also motivated the women to come forward and make their significant contribution to check the menace of crime against women. She was also the District President of state executive meeting of Mahila Morcha organised in Rohtak in 1996. She is an expertise of human rights, NGO management, NGO growth and development, child rights, social welfare and social legislation, conflict resolution and negotiation, organization sociology.

She always attend various meetings and programmes organized by Mahila Morcha in different districts. They also organized a Prashikshan Shivir for two days in Ambala Cantt for which she got an appreciation letter from the centre. In 2001 she was the incharge of receiving one of the yatra organised by Mahila Morch from four corners of Haryana. In Delhi legislative assembly elections she worked in Dr. Harshvardhan’s election, in Krishna Nagar and mange Ram Garh’s election from Wazipur. In Haryana Mission 2004 she worked in parliamentary area and was one of the co-coordinator and speaker. In 2004 she became the member of state executive committee of BJP. She was also the organizer of Kiloi Vidhan Sabha. From 2001-2007 she was the Mahila General Secretary of Jat Mahasabha at national level.
