Manohar Parrikar is a renowned statesman and leader. He was born on December 13, 1955, in Mapusa, Goa. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, specializing in metallurgical engineering. He was a member of (RSS). His association with RSS started at an early age and he had risen to the position of chief instructor by 1973. Parrikar got into the field of hydraulic engineering, establishing his own business in the domain.
Parrikar stepped into politics in 1994, emerging victorious in the assembly election from Panaji constituency as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. He became the Chief Minister of Goa for the first time on October 24, 2000, and his tenure ended in 2007. Parrikar got this position in 2002 and again served until 2005. , He led the BJP to triumph in 2012. His leadership caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After his ministerial post in 2017, Parrikar returned to Goa to serve as Chief Minister for the fourth time. In 1981, Parrikar married Medha Parrikar, and together they were blessed with two sons.
