Vishakha Bokil

Vishakha Bokil is an Indian Sound Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Audio Engineer, and Sound Designer. Vishakha Bokil was born on 8th October in the Capital City of New Delhi. She completed her schooling at Springdales School. After that, Vishakha Bokil pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and graduated from Delhi University with Honours. To complete her education, Vishakha Bokil received her Master’s Degree in Audiography from the Film and Television Institute of India in 2007. As a sound Engineer, Vishakha Bokil has worked in Hollywood, Bollywood, and the South Indian film industry.

When Vishakha Bokil was working as an assistant to Resul on the sets of ‘The Last Vision’, she met her husband Ajay Devaloka, who is an acclaimed film editor, writer, director, and producer. The two of them co-founded the film production house- ‘Corridor 6 Films’ in Mumbai. The company makes films, web series, and documentaries in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. Vishakha Bokil is one of the few females working in the field of sound engineering. As a result of this, she openly encourages more women to join the industry and believes that female sound engineers would be able to work more comfortably with female actors.

Of these, ‘WHO’ was the first movie about time travel in Malayalam and premiered in the ‘Marche du film’ section at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. The movie also received a nomination for Best Sound and Direction in the Top Indie Film Awards 2018.
