Laxmikant Kattimani was born on 3rd May 1989 in Cansaulim, Goa, India. He is a professional Indian footballer. He currently plays for FC GOA as a goalkeeper. The player has a height of six feet. Laxmikant directly started playing the senior leagues. He started his career in 2008. In the session 2008-2009, Laxmikant has been the first, chosen by the top-division club of Goa named the Vasco club.

Then he jumped to another club called Dempo, which has been 2009-2010. He won the I-league matches twice for Dempo and kept playing for two more years. On the 24th of July 2014, he joined FC Goa and appeared two times. For 2014-205, Laxmikant came back to Dempo and has been seen twenty times and score no goals, instead made self-goal in the final period.

For the next year’s match, he again played for FC Goa and has been featured thirteen times. Then he played his last league of that year for FC Goa against Chennaiyin FC, in which they lose by 3-2. Later he Laxmikant lend and joined in Mumbai FC in December in 2016. From the year 2009 to 2011, under twenty-three SAFF tournaments have been played by Laxmikant, where he always has been the second choice right after Arindam Bhattyacharya.

In the year 2010, for Asian games 2010, Laxmikant again has been the second choice which disappointed him a bit. Later, it has been announced they had retained a three years contract, which has been signed by Laxmikant for FC Goa on 5th July 2011. Then in 2012, Laxmikant played in the pre-qualifying match in Olympic Football London.

Laxmikant bagged the second and third position in the charts, which has been prepared by “Most Saves” in the years 2016 and 2015 respectively. According to his current statistics, the “most save” chart reflects that Laxmikant has been seen in twelve matches and hence stood by bagging the fourth position and also by making by thirty-six saves as well.

In the national team, he didn’t positioned at the top, but trying hard to take his place in one of the best players. For the Asian Qualification of 2014 FIFA World Cup’s two-leg encounter against United Arab Emirate, Laxmikant has been called and got selected soon. Currently he is not playing representing India. Instead, he has been in the tournaments for FC Goa and is likely to represent India, only if a miracle can take place.
