Bhargava K

Bhargava K’s full name is Bhargava Kodavanti. He is an Indian film director, writer, and producer. He is the founder of Bhargava Pictures. He hails from Andhra Pradesh, India. After completing a school education, Bhargava K went to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in civil engineering.

Bhargava K has been working as a producer, writer, and director at Bhargava Pictures for the last twenty years since January 2004. Bhargava Pictures is a Hyderabad-based National Film Award (Golden Lotus) winning film Production (live feature & animation) Company. Bhargava K has initiated Bhargava Pictures with a motive to provide a paralleled cinematic experience that is based on the rich legacy of quality creative content & exceptional storytelling. His immediate focus is to develop projects with long-lasting characters that have the potential to travel beyond India and that are also as enriching as entertaining.

Bhargava K has worked as a producer in the Telugu language traditionally animated Indian feature film "Kittu,” directed by B. Satya and released on July 21, 2006. The movie won the second Nandi Awards 2006 for Best Children’s Film. Bhargava K is the first person in India to receive a National Film Award (Golden Lotus) for an animation feature film. He is also the first person in the Telugu film industry to make an animated feature film. Bhargava K is the first person in Andhra Pradesh to earn the Andhra Pradesh State Government Film Award (Silver Nandi) for an animation feature film.
