Pilla Prasad

Pilla Prasad is a Telugu film and stage actor born in 1953 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He turned into a TV and movie artist from a theatre artist. His inspiration to join the film industry was from his father and uncle. His parent's support was the main factor for his quick success. Pilla Prasad is well known for his role in Aatagalu (2018), Bullet (2024), and Veedhi (2006). He has acted in almost 750 shows. The famous actor Rajababu was responsible for his entry into the film industry. Pilla Prasad caught his attention while performing the Upendra character in the play, “ Siddhartha Click to look into! >> Read More... ” written by Adivishnu, and directed by GSR Murthy and produced by Kalanjali in Chennai. Rajababu came to the dais and passed a few good words about him and enquired about him. He got an opportunity to play the protagonist role in a movie directed by the great Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

The film did not commercially hit, and his next movie got the same result but he received appreciation from the industry. He decided to return to his father’s business and work for his father’s business in Vijayawada. The jury of Andhra Pradesh Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation recognises him as the best villain for both the movies for the Nandi nomination. Pilla Prasad was recognised by several well-known organisations such as Sarada Kala Samithi, JMS Yoga Bharathi, and Vijayawada Cultural Academy for his contribution to promoting youth by associating himself as a faculty member with Modeling Film Institute, Vijaywada.
