He was a former minister and senior leader in Congress, where he devoted his valuable time and knowledge for the party to make a huge impact in the elections. He later was denied the ticket from Shadnagar constituency in Hyderabad, which led him to take a different path. This man later evolved as an independent candidate for this constituency.

He had been in Congress for a long and represented the Shadnagar constituency multiple times but later, due to Jagans' corruption case, which evoked a lot of criticism for this political leader, made him t leave the party. He later denied a ticket in 2014, which made him choose a different path for himself, and thus, he decided to join another influential party which is the Samajwadi party.
