Janelle Monáe Robinson professionally known as Janelle Monáe was born on December 1, 1985, is an American songwriter, singer, model, and actress. The Audition was her first unofficial studio album. Her father was a truck driver whose name was Michael Robinson Summers. At a very young age, she was passionate about singing and always had a dream of becoming a singer.
