Plot

Naseeruddin Shah, who is a Colonel (he is just referred as Colonel), stays in Marijuana farm that is situated in Kerala. He is a loner and is living with his dog, Kuttappan Petti. He has some electronic equipment including the phone. P J Unnikrishnan intervenes between Naseeruddin Shah and Marijuana dealers worldwide.

Time pass and Shah receives some amount from his lovely crops. He used to even talk to his crops. In the meantime, Kumra develops closeness with Shah (they share a relationship akin to father and daughter), and she tells about her past including the fact that she is an illegitimate daughter. Two flashbacks are also shown in the movie. One includes the scenes of Shah’s one-side romance with a Tibetan girl who happens to stay in Mumbai.

The crops are all set for harvesting and some people attempt to murder Shah for the sake of crops. Well, what happens next? Is Aahana given the required protection? What happened to Shah’s love affair? What about the group that wants to murder Shah? Watch the movie to unravel these questions.

Star Performances

Naseeruddin Shah does full justice to his character, in the otherwise not-so-good script.

Analysis

The story could have been better. However, the director Anup Kurian Anup Kurian is the director of Bollywood films inc >> Read More... tries to keep the audiences’ attention throughout the entire span of the film but the outcome only works in parts. When there are talks about the certification of marijuana, the film has hit the screens.

The movie kick starts on a promising note.

What’s not there?

The second half of The Blueberry Hunt is dragging.
The story could have been conceived better.
The narration could have been more intense, given the premise has the potential of that.
