Kannada Movie Review Abbabba - Cast & Crew

Carrying the acting tradition in the family is nothing uncommon in the film industry, and so it was almost natural for Anate Augustine one of the current crop of promising Malayali actresses to have chosen an acting career following in the footsteps of her father Augustine, who himself had acted in more than 100 films in his lifetime. While entering films, however, she chose to abbreviate her name from Anate to ‘Ann’ and this change may have brought her luck as her current standing in the industry bears out, having been a recipient of so many awards right from her debut film in 2010. Like many others in the current generation of actor and actresses, Ann too comes with a solid educational background, having earlier studied in Calicut and Thiruvananthapuram, and then graduated in psychology from Bangalore. While she is grateful for her father’s guidance in her career, at the same time she feels it necessary to pursue her higher education, almost side by side with her acting, as inspired by her late father. In fact, she says she misses her father every time she gets up to pick up another of her awards. In spite of having received 6 awards in her 5 years of acting career, she keeps a balanced and mature head on her relatively young shoulders. In fact, she had the humility to confess that she felt the State Award should have gone to either Shobana or Shwetha, two of her seniors in the acting fraternity. Glancing through her films and the awards that she has been able to accumulate, it would be obvious that she has been able come to the limelight whether she was playing a lead role, (like for instance in her first film “Elsamma Enna Aankutty” or in “Artist”) or even an associate role in some of her other movies. Being level headed and talented, these qualities would carry her far whether she chooses acting or being a psychologist, whatever be her ultimate priorities. That she is focused and determined also comes out from the decision she took without any sort of hesitation or dilemma about her own marriage to Jomon T John.

Sharath Manjunath is an Indian assistant director, screenwriter, scriptwriter, and filmmaker. He pursued his Bachelor of Engineering in BE, Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering (2013) at Dr. SMCE. Initially, he worked as an associate director for almost four years and gained experience and skills as a self-employed director. In 2021, he started working as a freelance director and writer in Bengaluru, India. Sharath Manjunath has more than ten years of experience in the film industry and advertisements, as he has worked on screenwriting, filmmaking, and various stages of filmmaking. Sharath Manjunath has written screenplays for three movies and has worked as a co-director for multiple movies, but he is specifically known for his job in the TV series ‘Humble Politiciann Nograj’ (2022) as a second unit or assistant director. One of his movies, ‘Uttarakaanda’ is in production, and he is responsible for directing this movie.

Vinay Babu is an Indian director and executive producer working for the South Indian film industry. He is famous for his work in Telugu movies. As a producer, he is popular for his work in the films Thrissur Pooram, June, Sullu, and Sufiyum Sujatayum. Thrissur Pooram is an action, thriller, and drama movie which hit the theatres on 20th December 2019. It gave a good response at the box office and gained the attraction of the audience. Thandav Ram is an Indian film and television actor best remembered for his performance as Ramanna from the daily soap Jodi Hakki. Thandav Ram was born on December 6th in the city called Hassan in Karnataka. Thandav always wanted to be an actor, but his parents didn’t approve of his career in the film industry. Instead, they wanted him to become a government employee or a Police officer. Apart from acting, Thandav also became interested in bodybuilding and set out on his journey of building his muscles. He faced opposition from his family on pursuing bodybuilding too. However, he persuaded his family and took part in a bodybuilding championship. Because of his perseverance, Thandav won at the local and state level bodybuilding competitions and went on to win the Mr. Hassan Championship.
