Kannada Movie Review Missing Boy - Cast & Crew

Archana Jayakrishnan is a young artist who made her operating entrance in 2015 with the Malayalam flick Viswasam Athalle Ellam. At the young age, Archana grasped the Miss Queen Kerala 2014trophy. She has cat walked the ramp for Hyderabad Style Week, Kochi Trend Week, done TV Advertisements for Kalyan Silks, Indulekha, and many other identified firms. Archana was native of Palakkad but stayed in Canada for her entire life.

Born in Mysore in 1963, Bhageerathi Bai Kadam is one of the most respected theater artists and activists of the Kannada film industry. She completed her diploma from Ninasam in Karnataka. At Ninasam, she was a student of Chidambara Rao Jambe, one of the finest theater actors in South India, who also was the director of Rangayna.

Vijayalakshmi Singh is a Kannada film actress who was born in Chennai. The actress has so far acted in 25 Kannada movies and 15 movies in other south Indian regional languages (Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam) and many of them have provided her lead or supporting roles. However, in her first movie ‘Nagamandala’, she was paired as a leading lady opposite Prakash Raj. The film was adapted from a play written by prolific Kannada actor and director Girish Karnad. Vijayalakshmi Singh handled a strong feminine character in this movie who was torn between her lover and husband.

Yamuna Srinidhi is an Indian Television actress and has also acted in a movie. She is basically a classical dancer and started her career after returning from the US. She spent 17 long years in the US and after returning she worked as a classical dancer. But this was not the only thing she was doing, giving auditions for several serials and tv shows, she finally got a serial and there was no looking back. She achieved great heights after her performance in that serial and got more than 5 works back to back. She is now a known name in the Kannada TV industry.

Raghuram was an Indian movie choreographer. He has worked in many movies and big budget film stars. He has worked with big banners and famous superstars like Mithun Chakraborty, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth. He has worked even as an actor in some movies. He was born in the family blessed with talent and art. His grandfather K. Subramanian was a Tamil director. The effortless classical dancer Padma Subrahmanyam is his aunt. He was fond of dancing since childhood and began at a very young age. When he was five years old, he took training of Kathakali, from Gopinath. He learned Bharata Natyam from dancer K. J. Sarasa. 1960 he did a duet performance with J. Jayalalitha. After seeing his dance A. K. Chopra had asked him to assist for an M. G. Ramachandran movie. Raghuram had choreographed in many movies.

V. Harikrishna is an Indian movie background score and soundtrack author, playback vocalist and also a movie producer. He has primarily produced background score for many Kannada movies. After his job as a software engineer and associate music artist, he made his entrance as a free music director in the movie Jothe Jotheyali, which starred the famous actor Darshan and was released in the year 2006. From that point onwards, he has been making music for many of Darshan's movies. 

Joni Harsha is a prominent film editor and recently turned producer. He is a veteran of the Tamil and Kannada film industry, having worked behind the scenes on more than a hundred films in the two film industries in South India. Recently, he decided to produce and launched a comedy TV serial that currently airs on primetime TV on the channel Zee Kannada. Harsha began his career in the film industry in the early parts of the 1990’s.

Gurunandan Mandimane is a dynamic South Indian actor hailing from Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka. He was born on 17th October 1984. He is not just a television actor but also a talented film actor. He always saw a vision where he found himself as a successful actor at some point in time in his life. His keen interest in acting was since a very young age.

Jai Jagadish (Born on 29th June) is an Indian film actor, who also directs and produces in Kannada film industry. He started his career in the movie Paduvarahalli Pandavaru in 1978 as an actor and has featured in over 300 films till date. His first stint as a producer was for 1998 film Bhoomi Thayiya Chochchala Maga starring Shivarajkumar, Ramesh Aravind and Vijayalakshmi in the lead. This movie won many awards including Karnataka State awards. He turned director for his directorial debut film in 2006 with Madana, which had Aditya and Samiksha in the lead roles. It was a remake of successful 2004 Tamil film Manmadhan. However, this movie bombed at the box office.

He is remembered for his roles in Paduvarahalli Pandavaru (1978), Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu (1983), Bandhana (1984), Madhuve Madu Tamashe Nodu (1986), Rani Maharani (1990), Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu (2001), Sanju Weds Geetha (2011) and many others. Out of these, Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu won the Filmfare Award for Best film in 2002.

Jai is married to Vijayalakshmi Singh, who comes from a family, whose production house has produced more than 100 films in Kannada industry. The couple also plays real couple in the film 'Aane Pataki’, starring Srujan Lokesh in lead role and directed by Chandrashekar Bandiyappa. This film coincides with Silver Jubilee celebration of couple’s married life.

Rangayana Raghu was born on 30th November, 1963. He acts in Kannada film industry and his genre is comedy. Till date he has appeared over 100 films and most of them have been comic roles.

He began his career in theatre group by name Rangayana in Mysore, way back in 1988.  His initial salary was just Rs 800 per month. He was supposed to make his debut with 1995 film Suggi, which was directed by award winning director Hamsalekha. Unfortunately, Suggi was shelved and never released.

His first major release was 2002 film Dhumm, starring Kiccha Sudeep and Rakshita directed by M.S. Ramesh. He went to act in films like Ranga SSLC, Rakshasa, and many more. However his best films till date are 2007 film Duniya and 2013 film Director's Special.

Duniya showcased Raghu at his best. Overall Duniya bagged 4 Karnataka State Film awards in 2007, including Best Supporting Actor for Rangayana Raghu. Director’s Special is a Kannada satire comedy film, written and directed by Guruprasad. Along with debutant Dhananjay, Rangayana Raghu essays the role of lead Panche Shastry / Ramachandra. This movie really showed Rangayana Raghu’s theatrical background and what he can do in a film with his power packed performance which was a mix of comedy and sarcasm.

Shobaraj is a popular Kannada actor who is famous for his villainy roles. He has also acted in a few Telugu movies. Shobaraj is portrayed as a crucial villain in Kannada movies. He has got appreciation from the critics for his best performances in the negative roles. Shobaraj has also acted in some Tamil films too. He is a big fan of actor, ‘Vishnuvardhan’. He has penned a story for ‘Vishnuvardhan’ and is waiting for his call sheet. The story was about the excellent relationship between a father and children. Sudden death of Vishnu stunned him; he completely left the idea of producing the films, after Vishnuvardhan’s death. From his debut movie ‘Chaitrada Premanjali’ till his current movie Belgaum, Shobaraj works with sincerity and dedication.
