Sasikala Menon is an Indian Lyricist. She was born in Paravur, India. She has been among the top listed lyricist in the country and across. She is the daughter of her father Govind Menon and mother, whose name has not been yet revealed. Sasikala got married to N. Venugopal. Born in the Mundakayam village in Kottayam, to parents M.G Gopinathan Pilla and Cherthala Sumathi, Seema has a sister, Renkua Girijan who is a playback singer, and a brother, A.G Anil, who is a music director.  She is formally trained in music, having obtained her degree from R.L.V College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura.

Her career with the performing arts started with her performance as a theatre artist at the age of 17, appearing in the Cochin Sanghamithra’s drama Oru Kadamkadha in 1987. From there, she has performed in over 1000 dramas on stages globally, even winning the Kerala State Amateur Drama Awards in 1992.

Her career took a positive turn when she moved from the theatre to TV serials, and then on to movies.  Her first serial role was in the show Cherappayi Kadhakal, in the role of Kocheroda. She has also acted in telefilms and participated in reality shows including Nakshthradeepangal (Kairali TV) and as a judge for the popular reality show Rasikaraja No. 1 (Surya TV), apart from featuring on popular talk shows including Valentine’s Corner, Nammal Thammil, Valkannadi, the Sreekandan Nair Show etc.

She is also a member of the Kerala Division of the Make-A-Wish foundation and is a prominent member of the charity. She organized an event in 2012, where along with artists from Malayalam film and TV including Malini, Aju Varghese, Siddique, Kailash and the Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer. 57 children were helped through the event, where they were presented with gifts from the organizers. These children suffer from HIV, Cancer, Heamophilia and other incurable diseases, and are terminal. The work carried out by Seema Nair in providing hope and joy to these children is exceptional, with some of the most touching moments including when one of the children, Reshma R, a sixth-standard student was presented with a violin, and she burst into tears. Reshma later mentioned that she cherished a dream for a long time to touch a violin.

Neena Kurup is a Malayalam film and Television actress who was born on May 3, 1973, in Calicut. She completed her schooling in St. Joseph Anglo Indian School and her graduation from Providence women’s college. Neena is married to Sunil Kumar is an exporter and they settled in Kochi. 

She entered into the Malayalam film industry through the 1986 movie “Gandhinagar 2nd Street” starring the megastar Mohanlal and Karthika. The film was remade in Tamil which was named “Annanagar Mudhal Theru” and in Telugu as “Gandhinagar Rendo Veedhi”. Neena played a very small in the movie. Her first movie as a heroine was “Sreedharante Onnam Thirumurivu” which was directed by Sathyan Anthikad and released in 1987. Neena played the character named “Aswathy” who is the cousin of the hero “Sreedharan”, the character played by Mammootty. Aswathy is an educated girl who is rude and doesn’t like her relatives. The character was well carried off by Neena’s acting skills though she was a newcomer. She has acted in a few Tamil and Telugu movies also. She did more than 15 films in Malayalam in which her character in the movie “Punjabi House” was clicked. It was a musical comedy movie in Malayalam which was released in the year 1998. 

Neena has also anchored a few shows, Merchants of India in Surya TV, VaalKannadi in Asianet and Dubai Shopping Festival. Some of her serials are Chakravakam (which was her debut series), Aayirathil Oruval, Sreekrishnan and a few more.
