Emily Mallory Procter is an actress from America born on 8th October 1968, in North Carolina. Her father, William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker) adopted Emily as an infant. Her parents got divorced when she was three years old and remarried again to different partners. She completed her education at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. She became a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority while studying at the East Carolina University. Emily got employed as a weather reporter at WNCT – TV in Greenville, North Carolina after she received her degrees in dance and journalism. She got promoted to crime reporter but soon left journalism afterward because it felt too gory. Her father provided the money for her two-year acting course when she moved to Los Angeles. Emily played the Detective Calleigh Duquesne, in one of the most watched TV series ‘CSI (Crime Scene Investigation): Miami’ that aired on CBS channel from September 2002. It is the first spin-off of the popular series CSI.

She has mostly played a supporting actress in feature films. She has appeared in films like Big Momma House 2, Jerry Maguire and Leaving Las Vegas, etc. She also acted in ‘Forever Fabulous’ (a 1996 comedy film); wherein she played the role of Tiffany Dawl. Initially, it got screened under the title Tiara Tango at the 1999 Austin Film Festival. In 2001, the film aired on the Lifetime movie network. Emily married to Paul Bryan, a music producer in 2008 and two years later, they gave birth to their daughter Philippa Bryan in December 2010. Apart from acting, she likes interior decorating, performing with her new band, playing poker. She has even participated in the Celebrity Poker Tournament. She took part in various triathlons and marathons. Emily also served as a judge in HGTV competition series Summer Showdown in 2008. She has sung in the 1980’s cover band named Motion (formerly known as White Lightning). This actress has volunteered with the young storytellers Programme and helps out at homeless shelters.
