Vanessa Marano

Vanessa Nicole Marano, born October 31, 1992, is a singer and actress from the United States. She has appeared in television movies and had recurring parts in shows including Scoundrels, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Gilmore Girls, Without a Trace, and The Young and the Restless. She played Bay Kennish in the Freeform television series Switched at Birth from 2011 to 2017. California's Los Angeles is where Marano was born. Marano is of Italian origin, and she speaks the language. When Marano was seven years old, she started acting professionally. Vanessa's mother sent the girls to an agency she thought would be most likely to reject them since she did not want either of her children to pursue careers in show business, according to an interview with her sister. However, Vanessa was accepted.

The agency was pleased by her sister Laura, who was also present at the incident. She has since contributed to Stage Door Theater shows. Marano plays Jack Malone's older daughter in In Without a Trace, where she and her real sister Laura play sisters. In The Comeback, she plays Valerie's stepdaughter, and in Gilmore Girls, she plays April Nardini. Alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt, Marano appeared in a Ghost Whisperer episode. The Young and the Restless' Eden and Scoundrels' Hope both featured Marano. On the ABC Family television programme Switched at Birth, she played Bay Kennish from 2011 until 2017. She starred in the true-life-inspired 2013 film Restless Virgins as the lead.
