Jonathan Dotan

Jonathan Dotan is a researcher at the Stanford University Blockchain Research Center and the Stanford Compression Forum, where he works on ideas and policies using distributed ledgers. Jonathan received his MA in International Relations with honors from St Antony's College, University of Oxford, specializing in US Foreign Policy. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the UCLA Honors College with a bachelor's degree in literature. In addition to directing, Dotan is working with HBO to produce the new season of HBO's Emmy Award-winning series Silicon Valley, for which he has served as a writer/producer for the sixth consecutive season.

Dotan has earned much fame for this series and has been the catalyst for the success of this show with every ongoing season. Dotan has over 20 years of experience in technology, media, and policy-related matters. He was in charge of the concept of holographic media pioneer OTOY, which recently launched the RNDR blockchain. He also manages the investment strategy of Future Group's private equity arm in India. Dotan has worked on digital media adoption for film organizations in 30 countries and began his career at the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
