Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi

Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi is a cinematographer from India currently working in Los Angeles. He was born and brought up in New Delhi, India. Both of his parents work in the industry. He entered the magical world of images and pictures through the photography class in his school. Farhad believes in the strength of an optimistic approach and aims to spread empathy, humanity, and happiness through his films. He is well known for his movie Green, which was awarded the Short Film Jury Award for US Fiction in 2019. His other works include feature films like Futura Days; Prism; A Crimson Man; I, See You; and Hacienda Paraiso. His hobbies include hiking and reading. Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi has created films like Life of Pi, a four-time Oscar-winner film.

He has been studying folk crafts both across India and Japan. In particular, he has been looking at the use of patterns and how a motif evolves. He feels influenced by the writings of Soetsu Yanagi, the artist Agnes Martin, and the photographer Sebastiao Salgado. His topmost priority is always to serve the story to the audience. He often spends a lot of time ensuring that he is prepared to create the visuals actively. Farhad Ahmed Delvi's priority is to create perfect visuals. He tries his best to provide a safe and flexible environment for the actors and the directors.
