Amir Rizvi

Amir Rizvi is an Indian Director, Producer, and the founder of Blue Magic Films, founded in 2009. Born and bought up in Allahabad, in a small town, did his schooling and graduated from Allahabad itself in Business Management. He came to Bombay to move out of his city to explore more. After post-graduation, he worked for 6-7 months as a mundane Marketing and sales trainee and realized this would not be his cup of tea and quit the job. Rizvi's realization that he would not be able to continue his marketing job reflects in the statement he made in an interview where he said, "We are not business people to create profits, we are creative people, we have certain ideas to create tons of projects and can apply all this who would believe in us." In retrospect, Rizvi once, as a kid, mused about making a film without a song in it. Rizvi met a person in Bombay working as an editor in the Indian Film Industry.

With his help, Rizvi came into the editing field as a trainee. After spontaneous minuscule editing, the first film which he got to edit was "Taliban Years & Beyond," where he was assisting acclaimed filmmaker Kabir Khan. By 2007, Rizvi helped conceptualize some of the leading Mumbai-based production houses, such as Premiere Productions house and Moving Pictures Company, and created 12 original television shows for leading Indian networks such as Sony and ZEE Viacom 18 and Star network.
