Bheru Choudhary

The Senior Managing Partner at IC Universal Legal, Mumbai, Bheru Choudhary, advises film distributors and producers. Many leading Indian Bollywood film celebrities seek his advice on press conference attendance for media interviews, license and contractual agreements, defama-tion cases, and concert performance issues.
He is a Commerce graduate. In 1990, he received his Bachelor’s degree.

He enrolled as a Solici-tor at the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 1992. In 1994, he qualified as a Solicitor from the Law Society of England & Wales to practice law in the Supreme Court of England & Wales and the Supreme Court of Hong Kong. He is an expert in Real Estate on subjects like the redevelopment of Slum Projects, corporate and commercial, litigation, media and entertainment, and arbitration.

His Real Estate practice includes the Municipal Laws, Urban Land Ceiling Act, Tax Laws, Transfer of Property matters, Transfer of Development Rights, and structuring, drafting, and negotiating land development documentation, the (Regulating and Development) Act,  Agricultural Land and Development Control Regulations, and Town and Country Planning and land acquisition.

He advises project developers on raising funds from financial institutions, Joint venture projects, and banks. He also advises other leading brands on various issues. Bheru is also interested in sports, especially cricket, listening to old Hindi music, and watching Bollywood Masala movies and stage shows.
