Kunal Shamshere Malla

Kunal Shamshere Malla is an actor, director, producer, singer, teacher, athlete, ardent golfer, martial arts expert, and many more. To be precise, a man with multiple talents was born in the beautiful city of Dehradun in Uttarakhand. He completed both his primary and secondary education from Dehradun. In 1994 he did his Bachelor in Commerce from H.N.B. Garwal University, and in 1996 he completed Business Administration from Tata Tea Limited, Calcutta. Mr. Kunal started his professional career as an English teacher while he was still on the verge of completing his graduation.

He also served as an Assistant Manager at the Tata Tea Limited in Assam for approximately four years. Finally, in 1999 he decided to start a playschool by the name ‘Olympus High,’ which at present has become a great source of education for higher secondary students as well. He is also a Member of the Uttarakhand State Audit Board and a patron of the Roller-Skating Association in the state. He made his debut role in acting at the age of 40, during a film shooting in his school. He played the role of a principal in Marukh Mirza’s 2011 movie, ‘Say Yes To Love,’ where he realized he was good at acting and should do more of these things.

From there, it was no looking back for him. He also recently released his music album ‘Har Pal,’ and has performed live as a singer on shows like ‘Miss Uttarakhand,’ pageant. Being a black belt in Martial Arts, he even bewilders the audience with his action-oriented role in movies. He is a perfect example for those who find difficulty in balancing between profession and passion. He also conducts acting workshops sometimes, to train future stars. Mr. Malla has his own production house that goes by the name of ‘Aahana And Maliha Productions,’ established in April 2015. He, along with Viral Entertainment, co-produced the movie 1978 - A Teen Night Out, a horror-thriller released in 2019. His recent work is a short film titled ShwetRakht.
