Padmini Roy is an Indian Playback singer. She has been singing primarily for Bollywood films and albums. Padmini has been in the industry for more than 25 years. Throughout her career, she has recorded songs for movies in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Assamese, and Bengali languages. Moreover, she has also recorded jingles for advertisements in Indian and foreign languages, mainly in Nepalese and Arabic. Padmini first started her career back in the year 1989 and has been active as a playback singer since then. Padmini is a Lead vocal and coordinator for performances with a band comprising vintage and popular Bollywood songs.
Padmini pursued her post-graduate degree in English Literature at the University of Mumbai and also completed her master’s in English literature. During her school and college days, she always participated in debate and singing activities. Music has always been an exciting topic for Padmini. She has performed in various concerts and has also received a UNESCO award for singing.
