According to her parents, she has had a passion for singing since her childhood. She started training in music at the early age of 5 years. She is particularly interested in Indian classical music. Tanisha first appeared on DD National's show 'Sangeet Ke Eklavya'. She was in the top 6 contestants of the show. She also took part in the Delhi Doordarshan program “Gata Rage Mera Dil” in 2014. Later, she participated in the Star Plus show “The Voice India” in 2019.

Her father is Naba Kumar Datta, and her mother is Alo Datta. Now she lives in Sector 19 Hyderabad. Tanisha has been fond of music since childhood. She started taking music lessons at the age of 5. She likes Indian Classical Music the most. After completing her 12th from DAV Public School, she started taking music lessons from Swar Sadhna Mandir, Faridabad, India and is a disciple of director and musician Anju Munjal. Her music teacher was Munjal.

She started her career with DD Nationals show Sangeet Ke Ekalavya. In which she was one of the top six contestants.
