Dipu Karunakaran is an Indian Malayalam film director. He was born on 13 July 1977 in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. He started his career as an assistant director under Priyadarshan. He made his debut as a movie director with the comedy movie Crazy Gopalan, starring Dileep. Then he made a horror thriller movie named Winter. After that, he made another comedy movie, Teja Bhai and Family, starring Prithviraj in 2011, which was a commercial success. Then he directed Fireman, which got more tremendous success. Then, he created a sports movie in 2016 named Karinkunnam 6s starring Manju Warrior. He is also the sibling of the actress
