Prince George

Prince George is a Cochin-based Indian music director and composer who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. Prince appeared in the hit film Vijay Superum Pournamiyum. He graduated with a bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication from G.R.D College of Science and a Master of Science in Sound Engineering from the Film And Television Institute of India in Pune.

Prince George astounded Malayalis in 2004 at the age of 15 with his flawless delivery of Johnson master's immortal song Devi from the film, ‘Njan Gandharvan’ in the Grand Finale of the popular music reality show Gandharva Sangeetham Junior. He came in second place because of a natural talent for singing. Even after winning a singing competition, he decided to pursue a career in sound engineering.

After graduating from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, Prince relocated to Mumbai in 2012 to work as a sound director/composer. His graduation film Allah is Great was an official selection for the Student Academy Awards. He was the soundtrack composer for the Omani feature Azeel, and he worked as a sound designer for the short films Kids in Suits and Goodbye Mayfly, as well as the documentary Reflecting Her.

Prince had obtained sufficient knowledge and expertise in filmmaking, sound design, and re-recording before entering the Malayalam music industry and finally made his Mollywood debut in 2019 by writing songs for Vijay Superum Pournamiyum. It included seven tracks, and Prince's debut album received positive publicity as well as platitude, particularly among young people. Despite his training in both Carnatic and Hindustani classical music, Prince's songs are not all raga-based compositions.
