Aparna Devi

Aparna Devi is a South Indian entertainer and performer who has carved out a niche for herself. She was born on August 23rd, 1995 in Thekkumbhgam, Kollam region, to Ananda Chandran and Laila. She has been passionate about dancing from a very young age and is a skilled professional in traditional dance forms. She studied Mohiniyattam as well as Bharatanatyam at Thrissur Kerala Kalamandalam and graduated with a degree in Summa Cum Laude in a post-graduate programme in Bharatnatyam from Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University. Aparna Devi has participated in several training and conferences on Indian traditional dance forms post finishing her studies, and she has also submitted a dissertation on such ancient dance form visuals and aesthetics at a national seminar.

Aparna was employed as a choreography instructor in Kerala's Kalamandalam Sub Centre and has served as a member of the State Art Fest jurors' committee. She is currently the creator and chairman of Mudrapeedam School of Performing Arts, where she trains over 100 pupils in Indian classical dance.
