Mani Shornur was a Malayalam film screenwriter and story writer. He was born in 1945 in Shornur Ganeshgiri. His birth name was Subramaniyam. His father and mother were Krishnaiyar and Muthulakshmi. He began his earning phase as an employee at BSNL. Later in 1989, he entered the film industry and wrote his first story for the movie Jatakam. After this movie became a hit, he wrote the story and screenplay for Kunnathangadi in 1991. It was also a huge hit. Then, Mani Shornur became a busy writer. He has written storylines, scripts, and dialogues for about 15 films, like Devaragm, Rajdhani, Srikrishnapuram Nakshatrathilakam, and Kathanayagan. His last film was Life Full of Life. He, unfortunately, breathed his last due to heart disease in 2016 on 3 February.
