Swamy Raaja is an Indian director and dialogue writer who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. Swamy best recognized for his debut film 'YokkiyanVaranSombaThooki Ulla Vai' released in 2016. Swamy was born on 8th March 1967 and is currently residing in Chennai, India. Since the age of eight, Swamy had an interest in films and wanted to direct a movie someday.
In 2016, along with his friends, Swamy decided to produce a comedy film featuring comedian Singam Puli in a prominent role. Apart from funding and directing the film, he also helmed the screenplay and dialogue department. Swamy also played a small cameo in the movie.
In an interview, he mentioned that the crew deliberately named the film as 'YokkiyanVaranSombaThooki Ulla Vai' since it would raise the curiosity among the audience. The movie clashed with the mega-budget film Theri, which starred actor Vijay but received a considerable number of screens. However, the film did not appeal to the audience and bombed at the box-office.
