J Vimal Raj, commonly known as Vimal Raj, is an Indian music director, Stereographer, AD Filmmaker. He's also a songwriter, composer, and singer. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He attended Carmel Garden School and earned a Diploma in Media Technology from the SAE School of Audio Engineering. He has achieved the status of Autodesk Certified Smoke Artist. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil. He has worked in the Tamil entertainment industry.
He served as a DIT on Rudhrama Devi, India's first epic stereoscopic film; he managed the Atom Rig with RED Epic Cameras and helped the Stereographer. Since 2006, he has worked for PAX Studios. He worked for INRI Films as an Executive Producer. He worked for PAX Films as a director (Kerala). He has worked in Tamil films as well as in other languages. Mayaman (2012), Vilambaram (2019), Kaadhalikkalama, and Ippadikku En Kadhal are some of his works.
