Muthu Vijayan was one of the famous lyricists of the Kollywood industry. His home town is Manathanallur in Tiruchirappalli, a city in Tamil Nadu. However, he spent most of his lifetime in Chennai. This talented lyricist was also a director and dialogue writer. He worked as an assistant director under the Padma Shri awardee Bharathiraja, who is well known for his movies likeNamma Veetu Pillai, Kennedy club, Kurangu Bommai,and many more.
As a lyricist, he holds a record of writing more than 500 songs. His prominent works are Meghamai Vandhu Pogiren (Thulladha Manamun Thullum), Kannukulle Unnai Vaithen Kannama (Penin Manathai Thottu), Anbe en Anbe (Nenjinele), Amul Baby, Roja Vanna Roja (Vanjinathan) and many more.
