Nicole

Nicole is a South Indian Actress who worked in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil film industry. She was born on 29th March 1991 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Nicole comes from an Anglo-Indian family in Chennai. She is the second child to mother Debbie D’ Costa and father Ricky D’ Costa, who is drummer and music director in the Kannada film industry. She has an elder brother. Her aunt is the popular Tamil television actress Angela also known as Kaveri. She attended school at the St. Michael’s High School in the Adyar neighbourhood in South Chennai, where she was the captain of the basketball team. The family shifted to Pune to spend time with Nicole’s grandfather who was terminally ill. Nicole made her film debut as a child actress in the Tamil movie Vinukkum Manukkum directed by Rajakumaran.

The film hit the screens on 30th March 2001. After this, she was offered a role as the second lead actress opposite Sachin in a Kannada film called Chanaksha but the project was cancelled after wrap up. At the age of 14, Nicole was offered lead role opposite to Tarun Sudhir in the Kannada movie Vidyarthi directed by T. Nagachandra. The movie hit the screens on 2nd February 2007. She was then offered a role in the movie Keerthi opposite to director and actor Varadha. Nicole made her Telugu film debut opposite to Ali with the movie Gundamma Gaari Manavadu directed by B. Jaya. The film hit the screens on 28th April 2007. Nicole was all set to debut in the Kollywood industry with the movie Aayaram Nilave Vaa but it was cancelled right after the photo shoot.

She acted in a Hindi music video labelled Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamannah Hai which despite being complete was not released due to certain problems. Nicole eventually made her Tamil film debut with the movie Aarumaname directed by Sudeesh Shankar which was released in 2009. Nicole then acted in Naai Kutty directed by S. S. Joe which was also released in 2009. Nicole’s last film was the Tamil drama movie called Oru Nadigaiyan Vaakkumoolam directed by Rajkrishna. The movie hit the screens on 10th February 2012.
