Yogi Sekar

Yogi Sekar is a playback singer from Villuparam. Yogi has always been passionate about singing. Since his childhood, he has dreamt of singing in the film industry.

Yogi started his career as a background singer, in 2006 Yogi came to Chennai for studies, and simultaneously he looked for work. He joined some performing artists as their backup or background chorus, they would often sing in functions and weddings. It was through, he slowly but steadily started to gain experience as a singer.

After leaving his orchestra, he came into the film industry and was hired as a background singer. Yogi gives some credit to Santosh Narayan, who gave him his first chance. In 2018, Yogi made a guest appearance on a show Neeya Naana, where he sang a couple of songs, which later went viral. This performance was seen by the filmmakers of Pariyerum Perumal Click to look into! >> Read More... , which became his official debut.

Later, Yogi participated in the super hit show Super Singer 7. Yogi dreams of making songs with AR Rahman one day. He also aspires to be an independent artist and do world tours with a band of his own.
