Anitha Kuppusamy is a famous Tamil folk singer as well as a television host. Anitha was born in Bangalore and raised in Mettupalayam. Music and singing always interested her since childhood and thus convinced her parents to let her pursue a career in music.
She completed her Bachelor's in Music at the Avinash Lingam College, Coimbatore, Andhra Pradesh, after which she joined the University of Madras, Chennai obtaining her Master's in Carnatic music.

Pushpavanam, Anitha's husband taught her 'Nattupura Pattu' an age-old Tamil folk art. Thus together they revived it and started performing across India and as well as overseas.
The influential couple has performed over 3,000 concerts. Anitha is also a playback singer who has sung songs in the films such as Karisakattu Poove, Valli Vara Pora, etc.
