Jithender Yadagiri

Jithender Yadagiri is one of the popular directors in the Telugu film industry, with more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. He was born on May 25, 1970 in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, as the son of the late Mr. Y. Srinivasa Murthy Jadalathimmanahalli Krishnappa Srinivasa Murthy Ak >> Read More... and Mrs. Y. Lakshmi Kumari. He had always had an inclination towards the creative fields, though his father wanted him to pursue a career that could offer him job security.

He remembers being fascinated by films and soaps since the day his father bought them a television set at home. Consequently, even after gaining a diploma in civil engineering, he followed his heart and stepped into the creative field of the entertainment business, earning his name as a director. He has directed and co-directed quite an impressive number of advertisements and films.

One less known fact about Jithender is his past as an actor. His father, who was a stage artist, has always been an inspiration to him. His father had owned a drama company by the name of "Karmika Kala Bharathi" where Jithender would pull curtains whenever dramas were staged. Later, he became a prompter and then a stage artist.

His acting so astounded the audience that they started looking at him with awe. Afterward, he cleared the All India Radio auditions as a vocalist and was also a part of AkashVani and Doordarshan; his performance in a mono play called Kanyadaatha in the latter got him to fame.

In his career, he has taken the roles of co-director, director, film distributer, and producer.
