1. Pratyusha Banerjee also known as Piyu was born on 10 August 1991, in Jamshedpur Jharkhand. She was the daughter of Shankar and Soma. In the year 2010, she moved from Jamshedpur to Mumbai for work.

2. She got her debut role as grown up Anandi in the popular show Balika Vadhu of Colors TV. She got selected for the role by talent hunt. Along with other participants, she was auditioned, and viewers voted for the winner to be selected as Anandi. Pratyusha got the most votes, and her career started.
