Top 10 Bollywood Movies Where The Girl Should Have Chosen The Other Guy

Top 10 Bollywood Movies Where The Girl Should Have Chosen The Other Guy Hindi Article

When it comes to Bollywood movies, we always expect them having the same “Happy Endings”. They always go around the same plot where the guy gets the girl, and then they live happily ever after. However, it sometimes happens when you genuinely want to like the movie, but you still aren’t fully satisfied. This usually happens with love stories portrayed in Bollywood. If you notice some of the famous movie plots more closely you will realise how the girl always ends up with the wrong guy. Then there comes a stage where you cannot lie to yourself for completely liking the movie since you have been rooting for the girl in the movie to end up with some other guy or vice-versa or rather no one at all. What happens is that you walk out of the film loving most of it, except the ending? Here is a list of 10 Bollywood movies which should have ended the other way!

1. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)

While there was so much drama to love in this movie, it was the ending that ruined it a bit. Ever since Nandini ( Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a popular Indian actress >> Read More... ) was forcibly married to Vanraj ( Ajay Devgan Ajay Devgn is an Indian film actor. He is perhaps >> Read More... ), she has constantly been pinning for Sameer ( Salman Khan Salman Khan is a very famous Indian actor and a pr >> Read More... ). They were in immense love with one another. Vanraj on learning about her wife’s ex- lover and her not having any feelings for him decides to reunite her with Sameer who lives in Italy. On their trip to Italy she throws one tantrum after another. However, when she finally encounters her long lost lover, Sameer, it suddenly strikes to her that she has been in love with Vanraj all this time. How convenient is that? She should have stuck to her first love, and that would have been a more believable end to the story.

2. Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (2001)

This movie basically revolved around Maddy (‘ R Madhavan R Madhavan is a popular film actor in Tamil and Hi >> Read More... ’), who pretended to be someone else to impress Reena ( Dia Mirza Dia Mirza’s original name is Dia Handrich. Dia Mir >> Read More... ). He was a stalker and an imposter who when got caught, tried to threaten his fiancé. This movie did not seem much of a romantic film. This movie gets weirder when Reena somehow falls in love with this crazy stalker. Ideally, Reena should have left this crazy person and married Rajeev ( Saif Ali Khan Saif Ali Khan is a film celebrity born to actress  >> Read More... ). Since at least Rajeev was a normal guy who loved Reena like how normal people love other people.

3. Salaam Namaste Click to look into! >> Read More... (2005)

This movie created a lot of buzz during its release since it was a movie about a couple living in a live-in relationship. This concept was not showed in Hindi cinema before. Sadly, this so-progressive movie turned regressive towards the end. The movie revolved around a girl, Ambar ( Preity Zinta Preity, also known as Preity Zinta is a famous Act >> Read More... ) who lives with her boyfriend, Nick (Saif Ali Khan). The movie takes a turn when Ambar gets pregnant and her boyfriend, Nick on finding out asks her to get an abortion. When she refuses, he breaks up with her. And even though they lived in the same house, he never bothered to help her or cared to look after her. He only realises his mistake towards the end of the movie and asks her to get back with him. What would’ve worked better if Ambar wouldn’t have married Nick and raised her child alone instead of raising her child with an irresponsible father.

4. Saawariya Click to look into! >> Read More... (2007)

This movie was nothing but a huge blunder. It broke many hearts when Zoya ( Sonam Kapoor Sonam Kapoor, Daughter of Anil Kapoor and model Su >> Read More... ) choose Imaan (Salman Khan) over Raj ( Ranbir Kapoor Ranbir Kapoor is a noted Indian film actor. He was >> Read More... ). They spend the most romantic and dreamy days together, were happy but yet, she made such a decision. The movie clearly couldn’t deliver us with the much needed ‘ Happy Ending Click to look into! >> Read More... ’.

5. Cocktail Click to look into! >> Read More... (2012)

This movie had the most cynic plot we’ve seen in Hindi cinema in recent times. This movie revolves around the lives of three people: Meera ( Diana Penty Diana Penty is an Indian actress born in Mumbai on >> Read More... ), Veronika ( Deepika Padukone Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress and model. S >> Read More... ) and Gautam (Saif Ali Khan). Where Meera prays day and night and never touches alcohol or gets engaged in casual sexual relationships. On the other hand, there is Veronica who parties day and night and sleeps with as many boys she likes. So, as per Bollywood standards, Gautam falls in love with Meera (marriage/wife material) and fools around with Veronica. Ideally, both the girls should’ve dumped him for good since none of them deserved a guy with such double standards.

6. Shuddh Desi Romance Click to look into! >> Read More... (2013)

The entire movie revolves around a guy, Raghu ( Sushant Singh Rajput Sushant Singh Rajput is one of the famous Indian t >> Read More... ). The character was so confused throughout the movie that it leaves the audience more confused by the end. He first ran away leaving Tara ( Vaani Kapoor Vaani is a model and an actress who was born in 23 >> Read More... ) at the altar. Then he settles down in a live-in relationship with Gayatri ( Parineeti Chopra The bubbly actress, born on 22nd October 1988, lan >> Read More... ). He then leaves Gayatri hanging at his wedding to get back with Vaani again. And then, in the end, realises Gayatri to be his true love (Finally!). Gayatri should never have let him in her life again since a confused person like him can never make a nice life partner.

7. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Click to look into! >> Read More... (2013)

The central character of this movie, Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) is depicted to be very ambitious and a dream chaser. However, being too ambitious can also a lot of times make you act selfishly. He did not stay back for Naina (Deepika Padukone) and neither did he ever try to contact her even when he could. And yet, waiting for so many years, Naina happily falls back in love with him when they meet again. Naina could’ve chosen a less self-centered person than him.

8. Happy New Year Click to look into! >> Read More... (2014)

This movie was sexist to a big extent. Throughout the film Charlie ( Shah Rukh Khan Shah Rukh Khan or also known as SRK is a prominent >> Read More... ) insults Mohini (Deepika Padukone), calling her ‘cheap’, ‘someone who dances at a club’. Yet she is completely smitten, just because he speaks good English. In which world does something like that happen? She should’ve kept her self-esteem uptight and never accepted him as her lover.

9. Dum Laga Ke Haisha Click to look into! >> Read More... (2015)

Prem ( Ayushmann Khurrana This Vicky donor worked as radio jockey, Video joc >> Read More... ) is married to an overweight girl Sandhya ( Bhumi Pednekar Bhumi Pednekar is Maharashtrian unconventional act >> Read More... ). He is an uneducated and a non-independent guy. He not only ignores his wife at home but also insults her in front of his friends. Sandhya, on the other hand, is a well-educated woman with a job. Being a smart and independent woman she should’ve never agreed to accept him and that would’ve been a good lesson for all those men who get away with disrespecting their wives.

10. Tamasha (2015)

Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) has some serious mood swings in the movie. He may be confused about how he wants his life to be like but his mentally unstable behaviour was unjustified in the movie. He walks out on Tara (Deepika Padukone) leaving her shattered and heart broken. But, on seeing Ved in Tokyo how she could take him back in her life without any thought? She deserved someone who could treat her better.
