Actor 'Tom Cruise' is set to return to his homicide investigator look in the Jack Reacher 2, which is set to release on October 21, 2016.
Even though the original Jack Reacher in 2012 didn’t make it much to the box-office, the makers have decided to do the sequel after all. The film’s second installment will replace the Warner Bros’ Geostorm, which was postponed to January 2017. The actor will return to portray the titular role who is a former US Navy officer and a drifter. The team is currently in talks to rope in Danika in the female lead role.
Jack Reacher is based on the novel of 'Lee Child' entitled Never Go Back. The sequel will follow the lead actor in facing a complicated issue as he returns to his old military base. He will reunite with his commander just to get arrested afterwards. Things will become more complicated when he finds himself being charged with crimes he did not commit.
'Edward Zwick' will direct the film while the script was penned by 'Richard Wenk'. It was produced under the banner of Paramount Pictures, who set the release date of the film.
