', he wanted someone that looks very Indian to play as Geetaji and Vidya suits the role perfectly. Vidya’s name was also suggested by Vidyadhar Bhatte, a make-up artist who worked with Vidya in the 2014 film Bobby Jasoos.
Shekhar said, when she narrated the story to the actress, she instantly gave her nod to it. Vidya looks like Geetaji from the ‘50s film and since she is a Hindi actress, Vidya doesn’t need to speak in Marathi. He also shared that they initially had a look test at her and Bhatte really did a good job in making Vidya look the part.
Meanwhile, Vidya is excited to play her role and she said it is an honor to play the vibrant Geeta Bali even if she would just be making a special appearance.
