. The movie 'Family' is set to release in theaters this coming February 23. The film premiered at the 52nd International Film Festival of Rotterdam and bagged the Best Film Award at the Third Eye Asian Film Festival. It was screened at the Bengaluru International Film Festival in 2023.
'Family' was set in the backdrop of Kerala. This drama film focuses on some occurring issues inside a disunited family. Don Palathara bagged nominations for Best Director and Best Indie Film at the 2023 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. 'Family' wins the Best Film Award at the Halicarnassus Film Festival in Turkey in the same year.
Don Palathara was known for making small-budget films, and it usually exposed the local culture of Kerala. This time, he succeeded by gaining several nominations and accolades for his work in 'Family.'
