During the last month, she purchased a foreign luxury car named Benz S Class. It is to be noted that the car is worth Rs 1 crore and 12 lakh rupees. She seems to have registered the car after furnishing the address of a place in Pondicherry. Then, she has parked the car in her house near Kochi. After registering the car in a different state, if the car is used in Kerala the car has to be registered again in Kerala. Amala Paul has furnished a false address in Pondicherry and used it in Kerala. Thus, she has evaded a tax of Rs 20 lakhs. If the accusations are proved, she could be put in prison for seven years. This has caused a huge furor in the cine industry.
