"I Will Not Work In Aadhik'S Film" Says Kayal Anandhi

Anandhi played a village girl role in Chandi Veeran. Then it was a bold character in Trisha Illana Nayanthara which her all round appreciation. Now it is her role in Vetri Maaran’s award winning film Visaaranai which is garnering attention.

In an interview with a leading film website, she revealed a lot about herself. But the girl says she will never act with TIN director Aadhik Ravichandran ever again, as she was unaware that the film was an adult comedy when she was acting on it and realised it only during the climax.

She had been told that her role was a bold one and had thought that this was a cute teenage love story of a different kind. She said she had become good friends with GV Prakash during the shoot as he was simple and down to earth and very supportive. About Visaaranai, she had always wanted to work with Vetri Maaran Sir.

Prabhu Solomon, her good wisher and guide, had encouraged her decision to work in Visaaranai and so she had worked in it in spite of her mother’s unhappiness over it. She played a Telugu girl in it as Vetri felt she would be correct for the role, being Telugu herself.

She had done just four days of shoot for the film and the whole film was shot in a very short period as everything was well organised. Attakathi Dinesh was fun to work with and a very sweet person. Visaaranai had no songs, and this was the only complaint she had about the film. She chose her scripts and roles as and when the chance came. She did not believe in photoshoots or in chasing directors for roles.

She felt more comfortable doing Tamil films as she got homely, girl-next-door roles that suited her. Glamour was not her strongpoint. Her next film Faisal produced by Prabu Solomon and directed by Anbazhagan is ready, and her Pandigai with Kreshna was in the making, it is a gangster kind of movie, with a lot of street fights. She plays a cute, bubbly college girl in the film.
