The director says, "Our movie revolves around three youngsters who come to Chennai from different rural areas in search of jobs. How the three guys get into trouble and how they come out of it forms the crux of the story. We have also dealt with some public message. Things that are being done as a public service has a selfish motive behind it. I wanted to tell this in my story and hence I titled it as, Podhu Nalan Karudhi. As it is a city-based subject, the shooting of the film will be held in Chennai."
