Lok Sabha Poll In Vellore Rescinded Due To Huge Illegal Money Transaction!

Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases and Tamilnadu gets its turn in the second phase and it will be held on 18th April 2019. Following a raid in Vellore, Rs 11.5 crore cash had been seized from a warehouse of a DMK Candidate, a few days back. The Election Commission referred this issue to the President of India, who in turn rescind the Lok Sabha poll in Vellore.

23 candidates have been contesting in the constituency. As the election is cancelled, the former DMK Minister Durai Murugan stated that they had killed the democracy by canceling the poll. He also said that people would teach a lesson to Narendra Modi. It is to be noted that it is Durai Murugan’s son DM Kathir Anand, who is stuck in the cash seizure issue. After a huge discussion with the Tamilnadu Chief Electoral officer, the Election Commission decided to cancel the poll in Vellore.
