A case has been going on in Supreme Court regarding the entry of women in Sabarimala temple in Kerala. In today’s argument session, the Supreme Court said that it needs time to discuss whether certain religious practices should be protected under the constitution or not. So, it reserved the verdict without mentioning the date. The court said that law, religion and spiritualism are different concepts. God is omnipresent and ubiquitous. However, we need to decide this case with broader constitutional questions. Earlier, a PIL was filed to lift the ban on entry of women inside the temple. The Kerala government announced that it doesn’t have any issue with letting the women inside the temple.
