Political-themed Films Are Crashing At The Box Office

Whether you call it a coincidence or a planned strategy, whenever the year of election arrives, a host of political-themed films crop up. Some skillfully pass off as genuine artwork, while others have their agenda written on their sleeves.

With that, 2024 is no different from 2019, except for one thing: box office fate. Only Yami Gautam and Priya Mani drew audiences with a taut political thriller like “Article 370”, which has earned way more than its budget of 20 crores.
