Plot

Lloyd Vogel works for Esquire and he is assigned to interview with Fred Rogers. While interacting with Rogers, he is Keen on asking about Lloyd and his family. Lloyd, who had become a father recently, speaks about his estranged relationship with Jerry, his dad. The reason is that Jerry left Lloyd's mom when she was fighting against death. Whenever Lloyd meets Jerry, he gets irritated and doesn't want to meet him again. After his interaction with Rogers, Lloyd changed his mind slowly and decided to meet his dad, who is living with Dorothy. Lloyd, who is busy with his work, didn't concentrate on his family. Now he feels his fault and he apologizes to his wife and decides to be a good father. He meets his father, along with his family.

Star Performance

The performance of the stars is excellent. Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys did a fantastic job.

Analysis

Director Marielle Heller had chosen an excellent script that portrays the importance of the relationship. The characters are neatly designed and the star selection is excellent. Each and every actor fit in the role well. The dialogues are excellent. The movie is technically sound. The BGM, the cinematography and the editing are perfect and the production design is also impressive.
