CAST & CREW
The Director obsequiously tries to replicate the “ The Bourne Identity” and fell bruised face first.
Plot: Henry Cavill, the chosen one who plays Superman, is an ordinary man who learns extraordinary skills overnight. He comes to Spain on a peaceful vacation and when out on fishing, finds out his family, except his Dad(played by Bruce Willis), has been kidnapped. Now Will (Henry) is already perplexed at the events and when he takes help to find about his family and gets in trouble he is shell shocked to see his daddy saving him. He later finds out his Dad is a CIA agent, and the kidnappers want a “briefcase”( yes the briefcase again) that Bruce had taken during a CIA assignment. Now father and son take off to see the boss Sigourney Weaver to solve this abduction case. Before things happen, Bruce gets shot, and Henry has to run away from all the bullets. He genetically derives those skills from his superspy father in seconds. Now Will gets the call to save his family by getting the briefcase. He then meets Veronica, who turns out to be his half-sister from his father and they then run and escape in the commotion. They later devise a plan and follow Sigourney to a parking lot which later turns into a bullet showering site. Car chasing action occurs, and Sigourney gets shot retrieving the “briefcase” to Zahir. Later Will is offered a job in CIA for his skills of course.
The movie moves at a very unsteady pace, and the direction is inexpert. All the ploys and stratagems have already been seen, and the movie offers no surprises to the audience. The Spanish locations are shot beautifully. Average performances from Bruce and Sigourney and Henry forgets to give expressions in scenes. Victoria is merely used as a showpiece for jumping off roofs.
Verdict: I would rather suggest watching the Bourne Identity again then going through this.
