Eddie Brock is an investigative journalist and his lady love Anne Weying holds an important position in the research center. Eddie gets an opportunity to interview Carlton. He shoots questions after gathering details, which he stole from Anne’s laptop. When Carlton comes to know that Eddie got details from Anne, she is thrown out of the job. Following this, their relationship breaks. Meanwhile, a woman named Dora, who works with Carlton Drake, approaches Eddie Brock and asks his help to expose Drake, as she thinks he is doing illegal things. Drake uses Maria, a lady as a test subject. On the mission to save Maria, Brock approaches her. But, she attacks him and a symbiote that possessed Maria transfers its dwelling to Brock. What happens next? Did he escape from the symbiote and what happens to Drake is the crux of the story.
Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed had played excellently. Their action sequences had come out well. Michelle Williams, Scott Haze and Reid Scott had also done justice to their roles.
Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel had designed the screenplay excellently and the narration by Ruben is simply beautiful. Although the film had a slow start after 30 minutes, the rest of the film moves in jet speed. The director had touched all the departments including sentiments, romance, action and comedy and impressed the audiences. The pacy screenplay and the music are the pillars of the film, other than the narration and performance of the actors. Matthew Libatique had handled the camera well.
