Analysis: This movie by Vipul deals with the major theme of the mingling of the foreigner with the Indian. It very brilliantly represents India and its culture along with its strengths. It represents the British London wonderfully with all its colors.
Akshay Kumar has done a wonderful job portraying his role as a Punjabi boy and works his way through the film by tickling you and emotionally engaging you. Katrina looks pretty in her role as a British woman and does her part with full conviction. Rishi Kapoor is genuinely a treat to the eyes with the years of experience working for good.
What you may like:
● The music of this movie and the background score is brilliantly done and is very enchanting.
Himesh Reshammiya can create a wonderful aura throughout the movie with a combination of some sad songs with powerful peppy dance numbers.
● The script has worked wonders and portrays this diasporic theme explicitly well. It is one of the most effective and impactful movies which deals with a theme like that.
● The performances by all the actors have added a lot of charm to the film.
What you may dislike:
The second half may seem a little too stretchy. We always know however the amount of rough patches a hero and a heroine go through, they have to end up happy and together.
This is one of those movies which shouts out about the kind of effort and teamwork that has been put in making the movie. Therefore, this movie shouldn't be missed.
