Malayalam Movie Review Roudram 2018 - Cast & Crew

Gopika Poornima is a versatile singer who sings in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films. She was born on 2nd January, at Vizianagaram located in Andhra Pradesh, India. She spent her childhood in Hyderabad, where she learned classical music. Her father was a Government employee working for the Central Government. Gopika started her musical career through a singing reality TV show called ‘Padutha Theeyaga’, which aired on ETV. The show was her big break into the music industry.

Born in the town of Tripunithura in Kerala, in 1990, Sarayu made her debut as a Main Protagonist in 2009 in the movie, Kappalu Muthalali directed by Thaha. While the movie was rated average, her performance was duly noted leading to more roles in other movies including Sooryakanthi and Kungumam.

Her early career saw her perform minor roles in movies such as Chakkara Muthu in 2006 and Veruthe Oru Bharya in 2008. In 2010, following her debut, she has played roles of the protagonist in movies such as Chekevar, and has been cast with Bala in the movie Sahasram, and with Kunchakko Boban in a negative role in Four Friends. 

Through her acting, she has shown versatility and ability to adapt to the script and the role, playing a multitude of characters in several movies in roles that are directed by expert and award winning directors, along with senior actors such as Siddique in Orkut Oru Ormakoot, or as Indrajit’s wife in Krayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram, and in movies by T S Suresh Babu such as Kanyakumari Express and Inganeyum Oraal.

She has also played the notable character of Revathi, alongside Manoj K Jayan, Jayasurya and Bhama in Janapriyan. Exploring newer avenues, she also played a major role in Sidharth Bharathan’s directorial venture, Nidra. In a critically acclaimed role, she also played the role of a sly seductress in Husbands in Goa, opposite Indrajith, Asif Ali and Jayasurya.

She has also featured in guest roles in HouseFull, and is now moving into Tamil roles as well, working in a presently-being-shot movie by cameraman Madhu Ambatt. She also has directorial experience, having directed the short movie Pacha, featuring a voice over by the actress Bhama and songs by the actress Ananya.

Affectionately called Ammu by her parents, Mohan & Uma, she has completed her schooling in GVHSS Ernakulam, her graduation from Maharajas College in Ernakulam in BA Literature, and is currently pursuing her Post Graduate Degree in Literature from Anna Malai University.

Saji Kottayam is a Malayalm production controller. Saji’s actual name is Suresh and he is from Muttambalam, Kottayam district. For the past 20 years, he has been serving in the Malayalam film Industry. Saji’s career started as a production executive, and then he switched over to production manager. He also works in the role of providing resources for the various jobs related to the industry, making necessary arrangements for the ads including support for finding the proper place on demand, arrange legal permissions and ensure the filmmaking process and experience is made smooth and comfortable for everyone. Saji’s service extends from the south Indian film industry to Bollywood as well as international films. Some of his films are, ‘Kattu Kadal Athirukal’, ‘Roudram’, ‘Ottaal’, ‘Colors of the Rain’.

Nikhil S. Praveen is a cinematographer in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on October 3rd, 1991 in Mattakara, a small village in Kottayam, Kerala. He was known for his exceptional and experimental wedding videos. He debuted as a cinematographer with ‘Kuttanad: A Unique Watery Landscape.’ But he gained recognition from the 2017 Jayaraj film ‘Bhayanakam.’ The film was a massive success as it was based on two chapters from Thakazhi’s novel “Kayar” and was set in the 1930s. It earned Nikhil his first National Award for Best Cinematographer at the 65^th National Film Awards in 2018. The news spread like wildfire as he had won the National Award at 25, and that too, for his first full-length feature film.

Sachin Shankar Mannath is an aspiring music composer, playback singer, and vocal coach in the Mollywood film industry. He is widely known for working in films like Roudram 2018 (2019), Vellari Pattanam (2023) and Neeraja (2023). He lives and works in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He studied Electronics and Communication Engineering at S.C.T. College of Engineering and completed a foundation course in Western Classical Music from K.M. Music Conservatory. He also got his Bachelor’s in Music (Vocal Performance) from Middlesex University and also got a master’s degree in Music Education and Film Scoring from Kingston University. 

Born in the quaint seaport town of Kochi, Kerela, Renganaath Ravee is an Indian sound designer and sound editor who has worked on more than eighty films. Even though he currently resides in Mumbai, where he follows his occupation, he did his schooling in Kerala.

Sunil Lavanya is an Indian Malayalam art director. He attended St. Theresa’s High School, India (1977-1998). He studied at Kerela University. He graduated from Aquinas College Edacochin, Kochi, India. He worked as an art director and creative director in Malayalam Film Industry. Libin Mohanan is a famous Indian makeup artist who hails from Aluva, Kerala. He has been working in the Mollywood film industry for more than 16 years. He has worked in more than 15 films and is best known for his work in Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu (2019), Oru Kuprasidha Payyan (2018), Vahni (2018), and Jhon Luther in 2022. Libin Mohanan began his career as a makeup artist in Malayalam cinema with the film Vismayathumbathu in 2004. He has collaborated with prominent makeup artists, and he is famous for his experimentation with various types of makeup, wigs, and prosthetic makeup, showcasing his enthusiasm for his craft. He is also a wedding makeup artist and runs a makeup salon in Aluva, Ernakulam.

A firebrand script-writer, actor, director, and producer, that’s Renji Panicker for you. He made his debut with movie ‘Bhattacharya IPS’ in 2005. He started his career as a journalist after getting his post graduate degree in it. He, with Shaji Kailas, has given gem of movies to the Malayalam industry. He is also the managing director of the Malayalam newspaper Metrovarthaa. He was born on 21 January 1958 to Keshava Panicker and Laalamani at Nedumudi, Alleppey.

Born in Chengannur, Kerala, Nithin Renji Panicker is a director and screenwriter who mostly associates himself with the Malayalam film industry in the South of India. His is the son of the famous screenwriter and actor named, Renji Panicker (father) and Aneta Miriam Thomas (mother), who is a psychologist by profession, also having a twin brother named, Nikhil Renji Panicker. Nithin Panicker is a graduate from “Sri Atmananda Memorial School”, Kerala. Eventually, the entire family shifted to Cochin, Kerala.
