Aaruthra” is the revenge thriller film scripted and directed by Pa Vijay. The movie has the star cast of director “ K Bhagyaraj,” director S A Chandrasekhar, Y Gee Mahendra and “ Mayilsamy” along with Pa Vijay.

Plot

Shiva is a sculptor and he is a devotee of Lord Shiva. He lives in Chennai with his family. A private detective named Avudayappan has developed a doubt on Shiva. He suspects that Shiva might be the serial killer. He gets deep into his story and finds it out. Shiva confesses why he became the murderer. To know the reason watch the movie in theaters!

Star Performance

Pa Vijay has given a decent performance. Bhagyaraj’s performance as a private detective is okayish and the rest of the cast had done what is needed for their roles.

Analysis

Vijay has come with a revenge thriller script. The murder methods in the movie could be connected with Anniyan Vikram’s technique. From a soft natured sculptor to a murderer, the transformation of Vijay is made decent. However, he should have concentrated more on the screenplay. Vijay has also brought a message with Aaruthra relating to the child abuse. However, the execution by him had not come out well and the computer graphics seem to be irritating. A lot of scenes look half-baked and also it tests the patience.

What's There?

  • Good star cast
  • Good story and the message

What's Not There?

  • The screenplay should have been made better
  • Amateurish filmmaking
  • Poor CGI works

Verdict

Although Pa Vijay has come with a good message oriented story, the improper execution and some half-baked scenes make the film clumsy. If you don't have any movies to watch this weekend, you could visit Aaruthra!
