It is sometimes fascinating to read about how film stars, especially in the South, get into the industry from totally diverse fields, and with no conscious intentions to be in movies. Andrea Jeremiah’s career seems to fit into this category. Her childhood ambition was to go for higher studies and get to become a psychiatrist. But music was always in the background, as she started learning classical Western piano when she was just eight, and she quickly showed her prowess when she formed her own troupe called Young Stars which also was a precursor for her later singing and music composing career.

Neha Ratnakaran is a South Indian actress; she mainly works in Tamil Film Industry. She was born on 24th March 1997 in Kannur, Kerala. She is the youngest of the three children to her parents. She took education from K V Kannur and K V Keltron Nagar. She started her modeling career at a very young age and participated in many modeling competitions.

Venkatraj V is an Indian Film Producer. He belongs to Tamil Industry. He belongs from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was an associate director. Venkatraj has predominately worked in Tamil movie Industry. His previous film was Ivanuku Thannila Gandam in the year 2015. He worked as a Script-writer in Cinema Scene Marketing.

Sharan Ravin is an Indian music composer, popular amongst the regional audience for his work on the soundtracks of movies and independent albums like The Inception (2016). Mostly known for his major involvement in the music albums of  Tamil short films and Kollywood movies, Sharan has been a prominent part of the South Indian film and the music industry for more than five years now.  

Yugabharathi is an Indian lyricist and poet. He specializes in writing Tamil poems and Tamil songs. He was born in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Yugabharathi’s real name is Prem Kumar, but he changed it to Yugabharathi as it was his pen name for his poems. Yugabharathi completed his Matriculation from Maxwell Matriculation Higher Secondary School. He also has a Diploma in Engineering from Government Polytechnic College. He started his career as a poet in early 90’s and wrote poems for various Tamil magazines. He changed his name to Yugabharathi to honor his idol Subramanya Bharathi. He started his career as a lyricist with the movie Aanandham. He wrote lyrics for Pallankuzhiyin in the movie. After that, he wrote lyrics for many songs. His first work as a successful lyricist came out in the year 2002 in the movie Run. He wrote the song Kadhal Pisase, which became a huge hit. In 2003, he wrote songs for the movie Vasiya Kaari and Manmadha Raasa. In the year 2004, he went back to writing poems for magazines.

Harihara Sudhan is an Indian-Singer. He mainly works in the Tamil Film Industry. He is thinking of working the other film industries which include the Hindi Film Industry, Telugu Film Industry, Kannada Film Industry, and Malayalam Film Industry.He is a hardworking and dedicated Playback Singer. He works in the Television Industry and the Film Industry. Some of the movies in which he has sung include F2- Fun, and Frustration, which gets released in the year 2019.In the coming years, he has signed some upcoming projects and he has started working on them.

Vijay Yesudas (Born: 23rd March, 1979) is an Indian classical musician and playback singer from Chennai. He is known for his work predominantly in the south Indian film Industry, especially Malayalam, and Tamil films as well as in other Indian Languages such as Telegu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Mohana Mahendran is an art director in the Tamil film industry. He has done art direction for films including Neram, Priyasakh, Ivanukku Thannila Gandam, Thoppi, Aaranyam, Idhaya Thirudan etc.

Suresh Chandra is a renowned Public Relations Officer, working primarily in the Tamil film industry and for some movies in the Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industry. He celebrates his birthday on 10 May. He is credited as the P.R.O. for a whopping 190 movies. He is the publicist of famed actor Ajith Kumar. Suresh started his career as a P.R.O. in the Ajith Kumar starrer, Mankatha (2011). This Tamil action thriller follows the story of a suspended cop who gets caught up in a gangster’s world. Directed and written by VenkatPrabhu, this movie garnered positive reviews and got nominated for several awards.

Thalapathy Dinesh, a fight master/action choreographer who is known for his work mainly in Kollywood. He is famous for his work in "Ejamaan"(1993) Born on May 17, 1963, in Tamil Nadu. He started his career in Kollywood in "Naan Sigappu Manithan" as merely an extra fighter. But slowly, he rose to become an actor and an incredible stunt master. The stunting skills run in his family. Hari Dinesh, who is his son, is also a stunt actor.

It's no secret that most celebrities use stunt doubles when filming particularly challenging scenes, but it's not something we always remember when caught up in the energy of an action-packed movie. In Indian film industry, particularly in Kollywood and Bollywood, stunt actors are indeed a must. 

S N Sakthevel is a director and writer who works in the entertainment industry. He worked in several television shows and films, such as “Ivanuku Thanila Gandam,” which focuses on the character of Saravanan, who works as a television anchor and gets drunk at a friend’s party to forget about the problems in his life. Unexpectedly, he gives the order to a goon to kill his enemies. It was released on 13 March 2015 and was directed by S.N. Sakthevel, “Chinna Papa Periya Papa,” which revolves around the character of Chinna Papa, who is a wealthy woman living in the city of Chennai and loves to brag about herself.

Sendrayan is an actor by profession in the Indian film industry who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. He was born on 30 July 1984 in Bodinayakanur which is in Theni district of Tamil Nadu. He got married to Kayalvizhi who was his girlfriend for a long time. Their marriage took place at a place called Senraaya Perumal Kovil situated in Vathalagundu in August 2014. He was also a contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 in 2018.

Subbu Panchu is the son of the very popular producer and writer Panchu Arunachalam who has become a talented actor on his era. He was born in year 1969. Subbu’s first appearance as a child artist was from the Malayalam film, Daisy. After this, Subbu worked in the production department on the P. A. Art Productions of his father for a certain period of time. Then, he returned to acting with his first television serial, Arasi and he gained popularity because of his talented acting in the serial. He also acted in the big screen in 2010 where he did a comedic role in the Tamil film, Boss Engira Bhaskaran and became very popular. He worked occasionally as a dubbing artist and he also choreographed in some movies including K. Balachander’s Vidukathai. Subbu Panchu had lent his voice for the Tamil version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

He also made some advertisements for products like Lakshmi Ceramics and more. He also hosted the popular game show, Aayirathil Oruvan on Zee Tamil. His smiling face and a guy next door looks are few of the reasons for his popularity among the viewers.

In an interview, Subbu Panchu stated that, from his very young age, his passion for acting persisted within. He also worked as a production manager for many films.

Pandiarajan is a comedian and has done many movies as a leading actor in Tamil Films. He is a multi-talented person and has directed many films and given music to many movies as a music director. He is a screenwriter as well. Pandiarajan was born on 2 October 1959 in Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to Sulochana and Rathnam. He went to Thamizisai College in 1977 and got his diploma as “Isai Selvam”. Pandiarajan married Vasuki and has three sons Pallavarajan, Prithvirajan and Premrajan.

M. S. Bhaskar is an Indian actor, born on Jan 19, 1952, and hailed from Muthupettai, Tiruvavur District, Tamil Nadu, India. He used to be a theater artist and performed as a comedian in Tamil TV series and films. His method of acting is simple and is getting professional by the day. He became famous for playing as Pattabi in the TV serial, Chinna Papa Periya Papa and Selvi; and as Vakkeel Venky in the 2005 Tamil film, Sivakasi; and as Gnanaprakasam in Mozhi. Besides acting, he was also a dubbing artist and a playback singer.

Comedy is the forte of Manobala (Manobala Mahadevan), who is also a director. He was born on 4th June 1953 and acts in supporting roles too. His primary region of interest is Tamil. He has over 40 movies and 16 television serials to his credit. Having worked in 3 telefilms too, he has over 200 movies to his credit. He has worked under director Bharathiraja. 

Hailing from Sulur, Manobala forayed into the Tamil industry with the 1994 flick Thaaimaaman. Doing trivial roles initially, he switched to comedy later. He was appreciated for his comedy, and his skinny appearance added to the laughter of the audience. His rapport with Kamal Haasan, though commendable in the initial stages, was not good after some problems with the Directors Union. But later Manobala confessed that, he doesn’t hold any grudges with Kamal Haasan. The Sun TV program Asathapovathu Yaaru has Manobala’s presence frequently. He had a brief stint with production through the film Sathuranga Vettai. 

Oor Kavalan, Aagaya Gangai, Sirai Paravai, Moodu Manthiram, Pillai Nila, Moondrezhuthil En Moochirukkum, Karuppu Vellai and Nandini are a few flicks of his direction. As an actor his works are Natpukkaga, Taj Mahal, Annai, Minsara Kanna, Perazhagan, Priyasakhi, Samudhiram, Ghajini, Varalaaru, Thambi, Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, Santhosh Subramaniam, Polladhavan, Dindigul Sarathy, Abhiyum Naanum etc. Manobala is active in the industry from 1982 to till date. Manobala is credited to have done projects with three generations. He is a simple person and doesn’t like publicity. 

On his personal front Manobala is wedded to Usha. 

Manobala stated that people asked him to direct films like Pillai Nila. KS Ravikumar tapped his comical streak and his life changed a lot due to him. Manobala is grateful to K S Ravikumar for that. He feels that directing 40 films is indeed a commendable one.  

On 3rd May 2023, Manobala died in Chennai. He was suffering from illness related to pancreas. His sudden death saddened the film industry and fans.

Prasanna is an Indian performer and Rahman fan, Tamil movie industry as a Music chief and a playback artist. Conceived and raised in the town of India in South Tamil Nadu, he started learning Carnatic music matured ten and finished each of the seven evaluations of the piano when learning at Magdalene Matriculation Higher Secondary School in the town.

Gana Bala, a famous singer and lyricist of Kollywood, was born as Bala Murugan, but he adopted the name Gana Bala himself as a stage name. Sometimes, he is also known as Anathai Bala, 'Gana Kuyil King' Bala. He was born to V. S. Mani and M. Punniyam. Bala studied law at Presidency College in Chennai after studying Botany. After being graduated, his chance at fame began when he participated in a reality TV show called Gana Kuyil Pattu. The show was aired on Kalaignar TV, and he won it. In the singing field, he has specific expertise in the Gaana genre in the Tamil industry. In fact, he is given a lot of credit for reviving the genre back in the industry. He gained a lot of success and fame after Aadi Pona Aavani, and Nadukadalula Kappala came out as a part of the soundtrack of Attakathi. He also received several nominations and won the Vikatan Award for playback singing in that movie. It was his big break and after that he has done innumerable songs in movies, albums under famous composers like G. V. Prakash Kumar.

Deepak Dinkar is a popular image in the Tamil Television Industry. He is a popular host and participant of many reality shows and also appears on many shows on Vijay TV. He initially wanted to become an actor but accidentally, by chance, got an offer to become a host and he says "he has loved it totally."

A.L.Ramesh is a film editor of the ‘Tamil’ and ‘Telugu’ film industry in India. He was born in the town of ‘Eraniel’ in the state of ‘Tamil Nadu’. ‘Ayyapan Asari’ is his father. He started his career with the TV serials. A production company, namely ‘Radaan Mediaworks’, came up with a show, ‘Chithi’. It was a daily soap opera that was broadcasted on the channel, ‘Sun TV’, in ‘Tamil’. Ramesh had done the editing work for the serial. The show had actors like ‘Yuvarani’, ‘Hemalatha’, ‘Vijay Adhiraj’, ‘Latha Sethupathi, Radika, Anju, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sivakumar, Ajay Rathnam, Poovilangu Mohan’, ‘Tharika’, and ‘Riyaz Khan’. This show was a hit and the most watched TV serial in regional languages. It was broadcasted in Sri Lanka, and United Kingdom also.

Born on July 5th, 1986, in Chennai, A. Santhosh Kumar is an Indian Tamil Choreographer in Tamil Film Industry. He is the son of S. Anbuselvan, a resigned police inspector and A. Thilagavathy. Sandy has two siblings, brother named A. Tamilmani, who is likewise a police auditor and sister namedPriyadarshini. He finished his schooling from St. Gabriel's higher optional school and college from Sir Thiagarajan college in Chennai. He started dancing at the age of three. Being from the family of police background with no support from them, he began his career as an artist in local shows. He is trained and nurtured by Kala master and Brindha master. Sandy is skilled in dances like Western, folk, classical, salsa, jazz and Chennai folk.

T Uday Kumar is an Indian audio engineer who mainly works in the Tamilian Film Industry. He mixed sound for movies such as Demonte Colony, Ivanuku Thannila Gandam, Azhagu Kutti Chellam, etc. Uday has the love for music and likes to travel to hill-stations around Kerala. He took birth in a middle-class family.
